The Re-birth
The elegance and qualities of the L-16 endure but there has been
no commercial manufacturing of the hull since the early 1970’’s.
Our plan is to change this and bring the L-16 back into production.
To do so requires two relatively simple steps:
First; locate a minimum of six buyers, justifying the initial labor
and tooling costs needed to bring production on line
Second; create a new fiberglass plug (a mold), duplicating the
lines, displacement and natural balance of the original design.
Once these two hurdles are achieved, The L-16 will once again
entertain, teach and thrill sailors world wide.
